Last week we received visitors at the school from the Permaculture Research Institute Kenya (PRI-Kenya ) who held a workshop with the children and staff members educating them on organic agriculture. The children were able to learn how they can use manure and other decomposing materials to improve the soil fertility for more agricultural produce. They also planted some nitrogen fixing plants which will help in enriching the soil with nitrogen and other nutrients required by the plants. It is during this moment that the children held an assembly to learn more about agriculture.
